Policy Research Assistant

Jack is a current MPA student at the La Follette School of Public Affairs specializing in transportation and land use policy. His experience includes work on UW–Madison’s Campus Green Fleet Report which recommended policies to reduce fleet vehicle emissions as part of Chancellor Blank’s Second Nature Climate Commitment. As an intern in the New York State Senate, he tracked and worked on transportation projects such as the Empire Station Complex, the largest passenger rail station in North America. His graduate coursework has included reports on rural land use patterns as well as Milwaukee Country Transit System. Additionally, he served as an Intern in the East Wing of the Capitol in 2019. At 1000 Friends, he specializes in transportation policy, legislative tracking, and research. In December of 2020, Jack graduated UW–Madison with degrees in Political Science and International Studies.

Outside of work, Jack enjoys bike rides in Madison, cross country skiing, and enjoying Madison’s local food scene.
