Gas price hits $3 per gallon for first time since 2008

The price of regular-grade gasoline in Milwaukee jumped above $3 a gallon this week for the first time since October 2008.
AAA Wisconsin data, which is calculated daily based on credit card processing information, says Milwaukee crossed above the $3-per-gallon threshold Wednesday, increasing by a penny overnight.
