Madison Edgewater redevelopment appears on course for approval

No dirt has been turned and no permits have been issued, but it’s looking like the votes are there for the Madison City Council to eventually approve the Edgewater hotel redevelopment.
Of course it might take another few months to reach that point, as several hurdles remain.
The project got a major boost from the Madison Plan Commission early Tuesday morning, which after more than six hours of public testimony and discussion voted 6-2 in favor of a rezoning for the controversial $93 million project.
