MMSD panel backs work on KK River restoration

The Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District would pay an Oak Creek contractor $2.1 million to remove concrete from the bed of the Kinnickinnic River downstream of S. 6th St., restore floodplain wetlands and stabilize the river bank between S. 6th St. and I-94, under a contract recommended Monday by the Operations Committee of the district’s commission.
